2013 Criminal Justice Career Fair

Students will have the opportunity to meet employers from dozens of law enforcement, corrections, victim services and forensic science labs to learn about internship and job opportunities.

“As a whole, we have seen an uptick in the number of employers registering for our Career Fairs,” said Mitch Parker, a Career Services Marketing and Events Coordinator. “This year, Texas has a $9 billion surplus, which is trickling down to many state agencies.”

Among the 50 agencies that have registered for the Criminal Justice Career Fair are:

Federal Agencies: Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms (ATF) and Explosives; Drug Enforcement Administration; Federal Bureau of Investigations, Marine Corps Officer Selection; U.S. Courts Pretrial Services Office, U.S. Department of State – Bureau of Diplomatic Security; U.S. Secret Service

State Agencies: Office of the Attorney General – Child Support Division; Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services; Texas Department of Public Safety; Texas Parks & Wildlife – Game Warden Training Academy

Municipal Police Departments: Austin, Baytown, Beaumont, Bryan, Carrollton, College Station, Dallas, Frisco, Grand Prairie, Houston, Huntsville, Irvington, Longview, Plano, San Antonio, Tyler

County Law Enforcement Agencies: Dallas County, Harris County, Fort Bend County, Travis County, Walker County

Correctional Agencies: U.S. Bureau of Prison, Texas Department of Criminal Justice; Angelina County CSCD; Brazoria County Juvenile Justice Department; Brazos County Juvenile Justice Department; Montgomery County Juvenile Probation Department
